胡文釗是一位香港的影像創作者,同時為香港文化媒體SAMPLE成員之一,曾擔任2023年金馬影展亞洲電影觀察團成員。他於2019年在香港城市大學創意媒體學院完成文學士學位,曾在世界多地藝術及電影學院交流,包括英國倫敦大學金匠學院、愛丁堡納皮爾大學及台北世新大學。
影像作品曾在世界各地公開放映。近期正製作首部紀錄片《Hold That Pose For Me》,入選香港奪目影像2024及台灣Giloo Fest 2023的創投計劃。音樂微電影《愛的視覺》(2024)奪得第11屆「創+作」最佳女主角銀獎。在東京製作的同志短片《Aoki and Mori》(2023)於香港亞洲電影節2024進行亞洲首映,亦曾在歐洲放映。首部劇情短片《1995》(2018)榮獲台灣金甘蔗影展首獎及最佳導演獎(2018)、創意媒體學院年度展最佳作品獎(2018)、上海驕傲電影節特別關注單元(2019)、韓國同志影展官方入選(2019)。劇情短片《直到__滅亡》(2019)曾在串流影片平台放映。畢業作品實驗短片《游泳,在維多利亞的海洋》(2019)入選由黎肖嫻博士開展的「錄像宣言」計劃,其後獲香港藝術組織Videotage收藏。在學期間曾獲香港政府才藝發展獎學金(2018)及李志超宏亞攝影獎(2019)。
Joris Wu is a moving-image artist based in Hong Kong, and is a member of SAMPLE, a cultural media organization in Hong Kong. He was a member of the Asian Cinema Observer at the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival 2023. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong in 2019 and has participated in exchanges at art and film schools worldwide, including Goldsmiths, University of London, Napier University in Edinburgh, and Shih Hsin University in Taipei.
His visual works have been shown publicly worldwide. Recently, his ongoing documentary project "Hold That Pose For Me" was selected for the pitching session of Eye-catcher Global 2024 in Hong Kong and Giloo Fest 2023 in Taiwan. "Lost in Love" won the Best Actress (Silver) at the Microfilm Awards 2024 in Hong Kong. "Aoki and Mori," a queer short film completed in Tokyo in 2023, had its Asian premiere at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival 2024 and has been screened in Europe. His first short film, "1995," won the Grand Prize and Best Director Award at the Taiwan Golden Sugarcane Film Festival (2018), the Best of the Show at the Annual Show, School of Creative Media, CityU Hong Kong (2018), was selected for the Special Focus Unit at the Shanghai Pride Film Festival (2019), and was an official selection at the Korean Queer Film Festival (2019). During his studies, he received the Hong Kong Government Talent Development Scholarship (2018) and the Lee Chi Chiu Macro Asia Photography Award (2019).
